26 Beach has a LOT of good burgers. They have over 20 burger options, which isnt a bad thing, its just the difference in burger may be something small. For example, the difference between the 26er burger and the Old timer burger is one has mayo. I know um picky. Anyway the burgers are good, a little expensive though. My favorite was the King Kobe burger, it was worth the high price ($17) and had a nice taste. My least favorite was the Califonia Roll burger ($19), it supposedly won some LA burger award, so I had to try it. Boy was I disappointed, the burger had wasabi and crab on it. I should have known it was going to be disgusting. But like I said, there are lots of options, so you'll find something you like...oh yeah, be sure to make reservations if your going around dinner time, or you'll be waiting at least 15 minutes.

So as soon as you walk up on 26 Beach you see pictures of their award winning buger. The Californial Roll Burger. When I looked at the picture, I turned to Burger King and said, that just doesn't look good. Even before I ordered it, I said, I really don't want to get this burger. As we waited 45 minutes to get seated, those 25 pictures of the burger all over the restaurant saying "Awarded Best Burger in Los Angeles" began to brainwash me. I started thinking, it looks gross but it must be good if they have so many damn pictures and awards all over the place. So I ordered it. Let me tell you people, I learned a great lesson at this restaurant - Always go with your first instinct. Let me tell you that burger was nasty. I tried to eat more than a few bites since it cost almost $20 but I couldn't do it. Even after I left, I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. I love California Rolls and burgers but they don't belong together. If you go, don't be fooled by the pictures on the wall, order another burger. The Kobe Burger was pretty good but I didn't like their high prices. I like burgers that cost no more than $12. MOst of the good burgers cost more than than.
ReplyDeleteI give 26 Degrees - 5 Bites out of 10. Romantic and kid friendly with a good selection, but pricey and deceiving.
